Our campaign is to get our fair share of state funding from Annapolis. We contribute 1/3rd more yet we get 1/3rd less. That is the best we get! The other categories of funding from the state to our county are even worse! We are getting the short end of both ends of the stick to such an unfair degree that our county taxes can no longer make up the shortfall. This is what a large part of the $1 billion deficit in Montgomery County is about. The rest is over spending from the same give away mentality. We have 32 representatives to the capitol from Montgomery County who were supposed to get our fair share. They did not do that. They were able to get leadership positions that help their self-esteem and their professions. This arrangement is systemic. Over the years there have been different funding formulas with one purpose, get Montgomery to pay the most and give Montgomery the least. This is no longer sustainable. We no longer enjoy the highest incomes in the state. Howard does and Frederick and Calvert are close behind. They all get better funding ratios than does Montgomery. We no longer keep pace with Fairfax in education or jobs. Fairfax schools have better SAT scores and better student to teacher ratios. Fairfax County has 200,000 more jobs! Northrop Grumman didn’t set this trend, they followed it. Our county has been drained of funds and no one stood up for us. Now it’s time those people stood aside to make room for those of us who will fight for Montgomery County. I am that man. Now I know there are those who disagree. If you like $2 billion deficits in Annapolis and $1 billion deficits in Rockville then you want to vote for the people currently in office who are responsible for that. If on the other hand, you are tired of deficits, tired of being the ATM for politicians to buy votes with your money, tired of falling behind Fairfax, tired of being a joke to the power brokers who devised this system then I welcome your vote, your help and your donation to reach more voters. This website will become an informative place for you and other voters to learn the facts about local government which many of us have previously not made a priority. We can no longer afford that either. It’s not all about the money but until we get the money right there isn’t the wherewithal to meet our needs in education, healthcare, traffic or crime control, all of which are all in serious need of an overhaul.
