What's Fair

Posted by Jerry Cave in Montgomery County , Maryland , Jerry Cave for Senate

What's Fair

I had breakfast this morning with a democrat who was concerned that my platform is not fair to the rest of the state. We agreed that the concept was proportion. We send 1/3rd more taxes to Maryland and receive back 1/3rd less allocation from the the state. I think is unfair and causes the traffic nightmare and trailer nightmare and the taxes defect nightmare. She was not comfortable with my position in spite of the fact that that she felt I was as right. It just comes down to fair. I think giving 1/3rd more and receiving back the same is very fair. Its also all this county can afford. It is not fair for our children to go school in trailers or our residents to sit in pollution causing traffic. Our people are citizens of Maryland too and should be treated fairly.

CASH REGISTER - Property taxes

CASH REGISTER - Property taxes

THINGS ARE NOT ALWAYS AS THEY APPEAR.
THIS IS NOT REALLY A SPEED TRAP, THIS IS NOT REALLY A PARKING METER AND THIS IS NOT REALLY A HOUSE. TO THE INCUMBENTS WHO HAVE CREATED AN HIGH TAXES, AND HIGH DEFICITS - THESE THINGS ARE CASH REGISTERS. THEY USE THEM TO GET MORE OF YOUR MONEY - WITHOUT LOOKING LIKE THEY ARE GETTING MORE OF YOUR MONEY. AFTER THIS ELECTION IS OVER THEY WILBE FREE TO THEN RAISE TAXES AND FIND STILL MORE CASH REGISTERS TO GET MORE OF YOUR MONEY.  AND WHEN IT’S OVER THEY WILL STILL BE CALLING THESE (PICTURE OF TRAILERS) CLASSROOMS. WHEN DOES ALL THIS BECOME SO RIDICULOUS SO THAT ELECT SOMEONE NEW WHO WILL FIGHT FOR OUR FAIR SHARE OF STATE FUNDING SO WE, STOP TAXING SENIORS AND BUSINESSES OUT OF THE COUNTY?

THE POTOMAC IS THE WIDEST RIVER IN AMERICA

Posted by Jerry Cave in Virginia , THE POTOMAC IS THE WIDEST RIVER IN AMERICA , Tax Code , Potomac River , Montgomery County , Maryland , Jobs

THE WIDEST RIVER IN AMERICA

THE POTOMAC IS THE WIDEST RIVER IN AMERICA. IT  SEPARATES MARYLAND FROM REALITY.

VIRGINIA HAS A REALISTIC TAX CODE THAT ATTRACTS BUSINESS. MARYLAND HAS AN UNREALISTIC TAX CODE THAT REPELS BUSINESS. VIRGINIA’S LOWER TAXES PRODUCED A 400 MILLION SURPLUS IN FAIRFAX. MARYLAND’S HIGH TAXES PRODUCED A BILLION DEFICIT IN MONTGOMERY.  THIS HURTS US THE MOST BECAUSE ANY BUSINESS HERE CAN EASILY BE THERE.
THAT’S WHY FAIRFAX HAS 200,000 MORE JOBS AND THEY PAY ABOUT 10% BETTER TOO. MONTGOMERY COUNTY DESPERATELY NEEDS MARYLAND TO ADOPT A BUSINESS FRIENDLY TAX CODE IN A HURRY BEFORE WE LOSE ALL OUR JOBS. RE-ELECTING MY OPPONENT WHO CREATED THIS PROBLEM WOULD BE RUINOUS FOR THOSE PEOPLE SEEKING JOBS IN OUR STATE. I BRING A LIFETIME OF BUSINESS EXPERIENCE TO OUR DELEGATION, THAT CURRENTLY DOES NOT HAVE A SINGLE BUSINESS PERSON IN IT. AND THEIR RECORD SHOWS IT. PAST PERFORMANCE IS ACTUALLY A GOOD INDICATOR OF FUTURE RESULTS. WE NEED TO BE REALISTIC SO WE CAN THEN BE OPTIMISTIC.  AND YOU THOUGHT I WAS GOING TO SAY RIDICULOUS.

Jerry Cave on Education

Posted by Jerry Cave in www.CaveForSenate , overcrowding in the classrooms , Montgomery county students , Montgomery County Delegates , Maryland Senate , Maryland , Jerry Cave on Education

Montgomery county students are underfunded from the state of Maryland by 2200 per student per year! This is causing overcrowding in the classrooms and our students are taking classes in trailers not classrooms. Wood Acres School has 5 trailers and they needed to add 3 more but there was only room for two. The school has capacity for 500 students yet 728 are enrolled. The solution to his problem is simple. We need to be funded at the same rate as every other county in Maryland. The election of one candidate on this fair share platform will compel all the other Montgomery County Delegates to also vote for the county’s fair share. can you vote issues or just party affiliation. ICC - The Intercounty Connector

Posted by Jerry Cave in Montgomery County legislators , Maryland Senate , Maryland , Jerry Cave for Senate , ICC - The Intercounty Connector , $45 parking ticket on the Beltway around Bethesda

They’re going to start giving cars stopped on the Beltway around Bethesda a $45 parking ticket because you cannot park on an Interstate, even if it’s not your fault. Now they’ve never done this before, but here’s the reason they are doing it now; the Inter County Connector will be finished soon, but the rush hour round trip toll is going to be over $11.00. So someone came up with the idea to first give everyone a ticket for parking on the Beltway so that they would think this $11 toll is a good deal. I guess that is ridiculous, but that’s what happens when Montgomery County needs something; the cost is ridiculous.
Sometimes you have to use humor to keep from crying. We send $2 ½ billion that we never see again and we can’t get a road to get across the county without paying an extortionist toll over $11 for a rush hour round trip. This project was delayed for 30 years until finally a guy form Baltimore (Bob Ehrlich) finally at least got us the ICC. But they have increased the tool form when he left office to this exorbitant cost prohibitive rate. How is it going to get traffic off the Beltway when regular folks can’t afford to use it?  Virginia will have had their equivalent, the Fairfax County Parkway for 20 years by the time we get a road no one can afford to use. When will we wake up to this absurd and abusive relationship our Montgomery County legislators have with Maryland to take our money and leave us holding the bag. This ridiculous toll, this unconscionable delay, is an insult to all of us on top of the injury of sitting in the nations 4th worst traffic every damn day!

Bethesda Naval 7 months ahead of schedule, Bethesda Traffic not ready!

Posted by Jerry Cave in Walter Reed wounded veterans , the electorate , Maryland , incumbent politicians , Clark Construction , Brian's Motto , Bethesda Traffic not ready! , Bethesda Naval 7 months ahead of schedule

Good news for our Wounded Warriors and bad news for Bethesda Traffic. The good people at Clark Construction appear to be 7 months ahead of schedule towards consolidating Walter Reed wounded veterans into Bethesda Naval. This appears to be more than just a highly efficient effort. It is highly motivating to help our wounded veterans get better digs to recuperate from their wounds. Bravo Boys! Great JOB! Maryland, however, has let down its good citizens in Bethesda yet again. 2,300 more jobs will soon be coming into the Bethesda area with little to no allowance made to handle the presently bad traffic congestion. Why won't the electorate ever get tired of the incumbent politicians who refuse to lead us out of our transportation problems. This situation is getting worse and worse. From the county council to state senators like Bethesda's Brian Frosh, the modus operandi seems to be to do nothing and just let everything get worse. Remember Brian's Motto, "How can I ask more for Bethesda when Baltimore's needs are so great?" My question is how can we elect Brian Frosh as our senator when he wants to represent Baltimore and let our problems get increasingly worse. Some one is not paying attention and that someone is us!
