George S. Patton described the Montgomery County representatives to the Maryland State Government perfectly. Led by state senator Brian Frosh, they are all thinking the same thing. They are all thinking of themselves while telling us they are thinking of other people. They say they are thinking of all the other people in other counties in Maryland not their own county. They say they are thinking of all the people of Maryland and not just the people in Montgomery County when they vote away our funding for education, highway maintenance, road construction, the inter county connector, the purple line, everything! YOU see, Montgomery County sends 2.9 BILLION DOLLARS to the state! Soon it will be over $3 BILLION. And what do we get for it? We don’t get much. The delegates in my district along with the chief perpetrator, Senator Brian Frosh, had the audacity to brag in a newsletter about the amount of money sent back to Montgomery County. We get less than $600 million back after we send Annapolis $2.9 billion. I guess I am just an ingrate. Why shouldn’t we be happy getting 20 % back. 20%!!!!!!! Am I the only one paying attention?
These people have sold us out and they call it being generous. It is easy to be generous with someone's money. These people don’t send our money out because they feel this need to help other people. They do it for two reasons. They are afraid of Mike Miller and what he will do to them if they don’t cooperate in screwing their own Montgomery County constituents. He will make sure they are stripped of their precious chairmanships like he did to Rona Kramer. They also like the bribes they receive. They are bribed by the chairmanships of committees that are crucial to the maintenance of their ego and their lifestyles. Does anyone think that Brian Frosh's chairmanship of Judicial Proceedings committee does anything other than make him rich? It makes him the rain maker for his law firm and that is a big money maker for him and his legal partners.
Is that worth selling out your constituents? Is that worth contributing to Montgomery’s billion dollar deficit? Is that worth making sure nothing adequate is ever done to help alleviate our horrific traffic congestion...keeping hard working men and women from getting home to be with their families...keeping us spending... getting to our business meetings...keeping us spending... running our errands... Keeping us from having our own time instead of sitting in polluting cars for hours every day! You see it doesn't hurt Brian Frosh. He makes enough money to own an expensive house 10 minutes from his downtown law office. Worst of all, most of us have been thinking the same thing too. We’ve been thinking we’re good Democrats and if we voted for good Democrats, they would take care of good Democrats. Well, that’s right they did. They take care of their ambitions instead of our interests. When do you think we will stop thinking this is a good idea? Next year is when? The shock of 2011 will blow you away when you see the taxes, the fees, and the regulations that will choke Montgomery County to fiscal death!
Look at the facts and think, think think. See www.CaveForSenate.com for good ideas to think about.

Returning to my childhood play ground at Wood Acres was a great way to celebrate the 4th of July! Seeing subsequent generations enjoy our beautiful Bethesda area included seeing relatives and friends, both new and old. There were floats and lots of politicians. The old ones gave us the lopsided deficits and underfunding of our schools. The new hopefuls like myself and Jeanne Allen offer real hope of a new answer to old problems.

I met another woman today on the campaign trail who verified that Montgomery County parents chip in to make up the difference that the state does not pay for our students. Basically what they do elsewhere in the state. She was in charge of the fundraising for her middle school. You could tell she was committed to making it happen but the look on her face was "Why?" After paying these enormous taxes, why are we scrambling to pay for our educational needs? Montgomery County Democrat Blair Lee mentioned it best in the Gazette last month, “Every dollar lost in Annapolis is a dollar made up at home either by higher taxes or less services.” I would offer a rare disagreement with Lee. When your school funding is voted away by your own representatives, I would not call it revenue lost in Annapolis. I would call it being betrayed by our representatives because as Lee continued, “After all, why should a savvy Montgomery lawmaker fight the state house power structure for a home town electorate that neither pays attention nor cares?" Well I care. That’s why I am running for the state senate. When I am elected every rep in the county will know that they need to vote for their home county or head home. We can fix this with just one vote. Remember it is so easy even this caveman can do it! See caveforsenate.com

I am running for the Maryland State Senate because we need new leadership to solve the problems that the incumbents have created.
The $2 Billion deficit for Maryland and $1 Billion deficit in Montgomery County are not circumstantial. They are man made disasters that need to be fixed before they get even worse so we can address our economic, environmental and educational issues. Here’s why you’ll want to support my candidacy to fix these problems.
- The incumbent caused this problem. They can’t and won’t fix it.
- I will vote to fix them with spending cuts.
- The incumbent will increase your tax burden that is already the 4th worst.
- I am pro business & he is not. We need to grow our economy.
- I will advocate for Montgomery County. He hasn’t and he won’t.
My opponent has been in state government since 1987 & with all that time & power, Montgomery County has been egregiously shortchanged in all state funding, especially education. While we pay 1/3rd more per capita, our students each receive 1/3rd less state educational funding compared to the average county. This is part of the $1 billion Montgomery County deficit.
Albert Einstein said, “The thinking that caused the problem cannot solve it.” We need new leadership. It’s that simple.
