I’m Marc Klaas an advocate for Jessica’s Law and father of a victim. I understand Brian Frosh is telling you that he supported Jessica’s Law. That’s simply not true. Frosh has been the biggest opponent. He treated the victims in a demeaning manner. Everything you read in Remember in November magazine is true. Re-electing Frosh is unthinkable. Please vote for Jerry Cave.

“We urge you to join us in supporting Jerry Cave for the Maryland State Senate. Jerry is a strong advocate for children.   His opponent, Brian Frosh, by his long resistance to Jessica’s Law, has endangered our children."

Shame on You Senator Frosh!
As child sexual abuse survivor I felt strongly that Maryland needed tougher penalties for these predators. I was unable to appear before Senator Frosh’s Judicial Proceedings Committee.  However, when I learned of his reprehensible treatment of Marc Klaas and those he made wait five hours to testify, I felt compelled to call his office to voice my anger.  Frosh’s office staff treated me with utter contempt and laughed at me.
Senator Frosh has opposed Jessica’s Law at every step, and now I understand he is denying responsibility for his actions.  Shame on you Senator! As a former resident of Bethesda I have to ask my former neighbors how they can in good conscience vote for this man.

“The sooner Frosh is removed from public service,    the better off the public will be.”
Mrs. Cave,                                                                  I indeed remember testifying on behalf of Jessica’s Law before the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee that was chaired by Mr. Frosh.
Although I have testified before numerous legislative committees on the federal and state level over the past sixteen years, this was the singularly worst experience that I can remember. It was a demeaning experience, one in which crime victims were treated with disdain.
I remember one young lady, a victim of sexual abuse, [who] was treated with a lack of respect and dignity that was appalling when she testified on behalf of all abuse victims.”
If you wish me to support your husband’s bid to defeat Mr. Frosh please count me in.
Sincerely,
Marc Klaas,
Advocate for Jessica’s Law and father of murder-kidnap victim Polly Klaas
Note: In 1993, Marc Klaas’12-year-old daughter Polly was kidnapped, raped and brutally murdered. Marc Klaas came to Annapolis to testify before Brian Frosh’s committee to support the law to impose mandatory prison sentences on the kind of sexual predators who murdered his daughter.
